The NIME2 (New Interfaces for Musical Expression) performance group is putting on two shows this month, one at the Frying Pan on Oct. 16th, the other on Oct. 17th at ITP at 6:30pm.
NIME2 is a group of technically gifted musicians pushing the bounds of electronic music. Using audio-processing software on computers and stand-alone electronics, NIME2 members play uniquely designed instruments that blur the boundaries between mad science and musical performance. NIME2 was inspired by the NIME conference (http://www.nime.org ) as a creative companion to the academic conference.
