Pd 0.40-0 released

Pd 0.40-0 is now available: http://www-crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html There is also a test version (0.41test01) that seems to work on AMD64 linux machines, although there are probably many problems to find. This version keeps floats at 32 bits and simply corrects bugs arising from the new sizes; I hope also to support running Pd using 64-bit numbers; this will probably always run slower but will work better for some kinds of applications (representing phone numbers, for instance). cheers Miller

There are many different builds available: WindowsXP i386 Mac OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4 powerpc Debian/stable i386 Debian/testing i386 Debian/testing powerpc Ubuntu/dapper i386 Fedora Core 4 i386 Lots of bugs are fixed, lots of updated software. Here are some big ones: GNU/Linux: Gem, hid, pdp, pidip Mac OS X: Gem, hid Windows: Gem, hidin Lots of patches included to, like - [initbang] and [closebang] - double-click to open files in the Help Browser Coming soon: PlanetCCRMA RPMs and pure:dyne builds .hc

Hi all, Sorry for the endless test releases.. I hope this is the last one. Pd 0.40 test 11, available on http://www-crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html (not yet in CVS, and also not yet compiled ofr Mac 10.3, only 10.4). Fixes bugs in audio device numbering in Windows... also "fixed" the "adddollar" message to message boxes. cheers Miller

call for volunteers to build auto-build machines

I still have a few old PCs to add to the build farm, so I am looking for volunteers to build up other platforms. I'll do the basic install, then the rest can be done remotely. Some possibilities are ReactOS, FreeBSD, Gentoo, GNU, Darwin, etc. .hc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Un atelier puredata aurra lieu à Médias-Cité (Saint-Medard en Jalles - 33), du 11 au 13 octobre 2006 avec Benjamin Cadon de lassociation Labomedia. Cet atelier permettra daborder lenvironnement puredata notamment pour ses capacités à traiter sons et images en temps réels ainsi que les interactions à distance (capteurs, webcams,...). Lanimation de latelier sera assurée par Benjamin Cadon de Labomedia (http://www.labomedia.org), Espace Culture Multimédia basé à Orléans. Pure Data est un logiciel libre et ouvert (Windows-Linux-Mac OSX) développé par une grande communauté dartistes et de programmeurs ( http://pure-data.iem.at/ http://pd.klingt.org/webring/ ). Puredata (en abrégé pd) est de plus en plus utilisé dans les performances sonores et ou visuelles, les arts visuels, les installations, les arts de la scène ou les arts numériques. Latelier alternera entre temps dapprentissages et temps de pratiques accompagnées permettant aux participants de travailler à une première création/réalisation. Des PC seront disponibles mais les participants pourront emmener leur ordinateur portable. Tarifs : 45 euros pour les 3 jours Le nombre de places étant limité à 8 participants, il est impératif de sinscrire en envoyant un email à info(a)medias-cite.org. its time to make a new Pd-extended release!

This is a call to all devs who want to have something in Pd-extended, or already do. Its time to finally make a release of Pd-extended 0.39.2. So now's the time to get your stuff integrated and working out of box. Feel free to ask me questions about any of this. Also, we can track progress with the nightly autobuilds (WinXP autobuilds coming soon...). Hi all, Pd 0.40-0 test 08 is available from http://www-crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html I hope I've fixed the problem of Pd crashing on startup on certain Windows boxes. A few other small bug fixes too. cheers Miller
