Hi all, Pd 0.42-0 test 08 is out on the usual http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/software.html and on subversion in SourceForge. I'm hoping to finalize it next weekend - bug reports welcome. cheers Miller

Otherside server alive again

The Otherside server has been repaired once again and is now fully functional. Since it is built from scraps taken from many different and most importantly, OLD computers, it will most likely fail again in the future. Hello, this might be a great opportunity to meet other PD-ers in Netherlands, to exchange patches and ideas. There will also be a mutual audio-visual jam session, and it would be awesome if you could join us: On the 17th of January, media artists and technicians will come together for the first SHARE event in Amsterdam. SHARE is an audiovisual jamsession, a place to display your unfinished projects and meet other geeks. We're hosted by a great little venue in the very center of the city, next to Dam square: thegetawaycafe.com. There will be * 1 PA * 4 beamers * 16 laptop spaces * 64 people (max) at a time * Free Wifi, 220V and Tapas. * Max/MSP/Jitter and other programming gurus * DIY instruments and controllers * No entrance fee We are extremely good at improvisation, so let us know if you have installations to display, a short talk to give or one-liner statements to make. We feature an automatic visual jukebox so be sure to bring your muddy pictures, shaky video's and screenshots of half-finished software. Otherside Server again..

The usual Otherside Server was murdered by Santa.. It's quite simple this time, the power supply just blew the fuse.. I'll make some modifications and restore it soon. Pd-extended Intrepid package

I have updated the Ubuntu Intrepid package for PD-extended and it no longer depends on any libraries that are not on the Intrepid repositories. The link has been updated on the PD page. Hans, if you had already uploaded the old one in the APT, can you change it with the new one? (Link: http://pd.ianagnostopoulos.postgrad.shef.ac.uk/pd-extended_0.40.3-intrepid6…) My 64-bit efforts are also postponed until mid-January, due to the Sound Studios moving to a new building. -Ilias
