Pd-berlin meeting next tuesday, 19th Jan

Hello, next tuesday, 19th January, will be the third meeting of Pure Data users in Berlin. For more information, look up http://puredata.info/community/organization/pd-berlin/pd-berlin-users-group. We also encourage you to take an active part, and put up suggestions for topics you want to talk about / topics you want to be talked about. Doors are open from 20h-20h15. After that they'll be probably closed, and you will have to call someone at NK to get in. To get a telephone number to call or confirm assistance you can write to info_at_minitronics.net. We would apreciate if you would send us a small mail to info_at_minitronics.net with your name, Pd experience and interests, so that we know how many people might be coming. Flexible Step Sequencers For Pd Vanilla

Hi, Following the Pd Berlin meeting last Tuesday, the guys encouraged me to share my patches. Here are my step sequencers for Pd vanilla. With a bit of imagination they can be used for many things other than beat/drum patterns. In the example patches you can see one used as a metro to drive the other sequencers which can lead to interesting groove/swing/shuffle sounds. Also to repetitively control parameters like filter cutoff/pitch/LFO rate/effects on synthesizers too. Connect them to each other to create conditionally generative randomness. We encourage artists, composers and musicians who wish to carry experimental research related to their artistic endeavors along with researchers and computer musicians at Ircam. Submission is online and open to all participants regardless of age or nationality. Each project will be evaluated by a panel of experts including researchers, artists and computer musicians. Upon nomination, each laureate will be granted a residency at Ircam during a specific period (three to six months) and in association with a team/project at Ircam. In addition, laureates receive an equivalent of 1200 Euros per month to cover expenses in France. Hi list, just to share this abstraction I'm using in my recent patches. Mediagrid is a graphical file chooser. It is based on videogrid external from Sergi Lario and Lluis Gomez i Bigorda. Apart to be an abstraction and not an external, the main difference is that mediagrid is cross-platform and you can manage audio file also and no just video or images. Invisible Suns is an autonomous system that every day analyzes the historical stock prices of a variable selection of major corporations, compresses in few minutes over 8 years of economic transactions and eventually produces a generative and self-organizing audiovisual datascape." Pd-extended 0.42.5 released!
