A minor bug fix is available for polywavesynth. During overlapping notes, new parameters meant only for subsequently-attacked notes were "leaking" into the releases of former notes, leading to undesirable artifacts. This becomes particularly noticeable with a lot of dynamic parameter changing, as is now possible with OSC. The fix makes it so parameters are changed only for new attacks. If you're using a former version, please update to this version to avoid the artifacts. Here's a to my knowledge completed version of nsend and nreceive. Improvements: Handling of incomplete or missing arguments Both nsend and nreceive now have an inlet for reassigning their symbol (like vanilla 0.40 send, and unlike 0.40 receive. Since nreceive will default to regular behavior with no "multiple" arg, it can be used to remedy that) cheers Luke

pdlua is a library for extending Pd with Lua ( http://www.lua.org ) Features: * Loader functionality gives Lua objects full Pd class status. * [luax] class to create Lua objects without full class status (useful for rapid development and testing). * [lua] class to run Lua scripts. * Example files ranging from trivial (helloworld) to powerful (lexpr). * Incomplete documentation. Hey all, After so many meetings, discussions, sketches, etc., we agreed upon a template for standardized help patches. The PDDP group has come up with a basic template to be used for any Pd help patch. La personne devra superviser les ressources financières, humaines et matérielles de l'organisme et s'assurer que toutes ses activités et événements reflètent son mandat de centre d'artiste féministe qui vise à promouvoir l'exploration, la création et la critique en arts médiatiques. Tenant le rôle de leader et d'organisatrice en chef, la directrice veille au bon fonctionnement des différents volets du Studio XX : site web, programmation artistique, revue en ligne, ateliers de formation, production et festival HTMlles. Tout en consolidant les liens du Studio XX avec la communauté, elle le représente auprès des différents organismes artistiques et subventionneurs. Elle s'assure du bon fonctionnement de la communication et des relations de travail entre les employées, les membres des comités et du conseil d'administration. La candidate idéale possède une expérience d'au moins 2 ans de travail auprès des centres d'artistes canadiens ou d'un organisme à but non lucratif (ou une expérience équivalente). Elle est passionnée par les nouvelles technologies, en particulier les arts électroniques et en réseau, et elle a de l'expérience au niveau du milieu canadien et international des nouveaux médias. Elle a démontré sa capacité à rédiger des demandes de bourses auprès des gouvernements et fondations et peut assumer la responsabilité d'un travail qui comporte des contraintes budgétaires. Ressources financières - Prépare les projections budgétaires (en accord avec le C.A. et les différents comités) incluant le budget global et les budgets des différents volets d'activités. - Rédige les demandes de subvention pour le fonctionnement général de l'organisme et les différents projets avec le soutien de l'équipe, le C.A. et les comités. - Recherche de nouvelles sources de financement et de ressources (humaines et matérielles) pour l'organisme. - Travaille étroitement avec la comptable de l'organisme et coordonne la préparation du rapport financier annuel avec une firme comptable externe. - Présente un rapport financier à chaque trimestre au C.A. Studio XX is a feminist centre for technological exploration, creation and critique that aims to bring together the voices and creative actions developed by women to challenge and expand the limits of cyberspace. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience working within Canadian artist-run centres or not-for-profit groups (or equivalent experience). She has a passion for new technologies, especially electronic and web-based art, and has some experience with the new media arts scene in Canada and internationally. She has the proven ability to write government and foundation grants and can work responsibly within tight budgetary constraints. With a good working knowledge of various office oriented computer programs, she is always keen on learning new ways of working with technology. She excels in a collaborative environment and her strengths include; leadership, analytical skills, creativity and a strong sense of organization. She is an able communicator, is bilingual and has excellent writing skills in at least one of the two official languages. A degree in Arts Adminsistration would be an asset. The General Director is responsible for the overall administration, management and orientation of Studio XX; she oversees the financial, human and technological resources of the Studio and ensures that all activities and events undertaken by the organisation reflect its mandate as a feminist centre for technological exploration, creation and critique. As a well-organized leader, she oversees the functioning of all aspects of studio life including: website, artistic programming, workshops, productions, and the HTMlles festival. Her strong writing and budgeting skills will assure the continued financial support from funding agencies at all levels, as well as facilitate the studio's continued search for other sources of funding and potential partnerships. She is responsible for assuring integrated communications and strong working relationships between the Studio's employees, committees and board members and represents Studio XX to other artist run centres, funding agencies and the community at large. This is a core staff position. The General Director reports to the Board of Directors of Studio XX, who will in turn support her in her role as catalyst and guide so that the organization continues to move forward with it's mandate and remains at the forefront of new-media arts creation and analysis. More specifically, the General Director : General Orientations - Ensures that the organisation's technological, feminist and artistic mandate, policies and priorities are respected at all times and continue to evolve; - Oversees the planning of Studio XX's annual artistic, educational, activist and fundraising activities, in conjunction with the core staff, Board and appropriate committees; - Supervises the staff members and various committees at Studio XX (website, programming, production and festival), in terms of planning, smooth operations and effective communications; - Reports to the Board of Directors on behalf of the staff and vice versa; makes the minutes from meetings available to all concerned parties; - Coordinates the annual general meeting (logistics, promotion, annual report, financial statements, etc) in conjunction with the Board and the accountant; - Assumes public relations including public speaking and interviews (or refers the appropriate persons); - Networks with advocacy groups locally, nationally and internationally; keeps up to date with news and policy changes in the new media and media arts milieu at all levels. Financial resources - Prepares the budget projections (in conjunction with the Board and the committees), including the global budget and budgets for specific activities; - Writes grants for core activities and projects, with support and input from other staff, Board and the appropriate committees; - Researches new sources of financing and resources (material and human) for the organisation; - Liaises with the accountant (who does the bookkeeping, banking and produces monthly financial and year-end statements); coordinates the preparation of the annual financial reports with the accountant and auditor; - Presents financial reports to the Board every trimester; Human resources - Manages the staff members : prepares weekly team meetings and circulates the minutes, provides constructive feedback on performance, participates in the evaluation process, resolves conflicts, ensures collective motivation, etc.; - Supports the staff/contract members in their respective tasks : makes sure they know/have everything needed to do their job effectively, facilitates the recruitment of appropriate interns/volunteers as well as committee members, etc. - Ensures the transmission of knowledge and communication : between the staff members of the Studio; between the Studio's staff and board members, including at times the input of committee members, interns, volunteers and members; between a new staff/contract person and an outgoing one. She will present the interactive audio-visual installation "Dentelles et boutons". *Valérie Walker* describes herself as "a digitally rooted fiber artist with an active transmedia practice - a thread-bender, a virtual reality spinner." After two years in Halifax, she's back in Montreal to present her latest work. *:: 3:30pm ::* *Musical Moment* :: A great opportunity to experience experimental music and to be surprised by astonishing sounds with the *"Unpredictable Quartet, 1st edition"*. *Magali Babin* is a well known performing sound artist within the Montreal scene. She is known for her delicate and minimalistic style. She will be doing a residency at Studio XX this fall. *Myléna Bergeron* practices live improvisation, mixing field recordings and electronic manipulation. She will be part of the upcoming HTMlles Festival (Oct 17-21) in a duet with the photographer Isabelle Hayeur. *Patrice Coulombe* is a regular Max-Jitter software teacher at XX. He is also a composer and sound artist. *Hélène Prévost* jumps in front of the microphone to offer some improvised sounds. For those who aren't aware, Hélène was the producer and host for CBC's "Chaîne culturelle" of new and experimental music for over 20 years, as well as a member of XX's Board of Directors.
