Hello, all.
Those of you running PD on Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) have probably encountered an annoying screen update bug in Tcl/Tk. The Mac-Tcl people have come up with a (somewhat hack-y) patch addressing that bug after the official 8.4 Tcl/Tk release. I've compiled it and made it available as a double-clickable installer (1.8MB) at:
http://homepage.mac.com/atl/sw/
Additionally, there's a PD installer (3.9MB) for MacOSX-Jaguar systems that has everything needed for the beginner to get started, including Tcl/Tk, PD (divided into sub-packages), and PDDP. If there's sufficient interest, I might work on an installer for other PD/Mac libraries as well.

yeah, was about to report this problem. Actually, for me it also stopped audio output after a few minutes.
your installer works a treat. thanks much. always great when problems get solved faster than they occur... :) and extra bonus for the keyboard shortcuts!
only thing I get are these error messages when leaving the file selection dialog box: RCNE SendEventToEventTarget (mous Moved ) failed, -9874 but they seem to cause no harm
thanks, Sukandar
