I think I've put together a reasonably complete distro with this
installer. It should be ready to go, give it a try and let me know if
you have any problems. With this installer, you can install it
anywhere you want and it should work.
http://at.or.at/hans/pd/installers/
(There are bigger changes with the MacOS X installer, so that's why its
taking longer... )

Here is the first usable version on serendiPd (formerly known as
xp4pd). It is a patch that allows multiple people to edit a shared
patch in realtime over any network.
http://at.or.at/serendiPd
Its still quite buggy and not feature complete. For example, locking
is absent so things can go crazy pretty easily when mutiple people try
to edit at the same time. But it works and its a crazy experience to
watch someone write a patch on your computer from anywhere else in the
world.

Physical computing for artistic purpose
Wednesday 5th until saturday 8th of mai 2004
at Atelier Nord, Oslo/Norway
by Erich Berger
Free participation
Application deadline April 1st.

MAKING SENSE PROJECT
Recent developments in commercial and open source
artistic software (like MAX/MSP, Nato, Jitter, SoftVNS,
Pure-Data, Supercollider, Keystroke, Mob, etc.) extend
the freedom for media-artists on the software side.
These software environments also provide possibilities to
interface physical computing devices via computerports.
Within a series of workshops "Making Sense" aims to
introduce basic and advanced techniques of how artists
can work with sensors and effectors, how to build custom
computer interfaces and how to interface them with
different software environments.

Hey all,
Here is a little(big) patch I made with pmpd.
http://pure-data.iem.at/Members/bbogart/dynamics/view
Requires pmpd (beta 5), gem888 and a fast machine.
(uses 90% of my 1.25Ghz g4 w/ radeon 9600)
1. Create the window
2. start the pmpd metro
3. move mouse around inside gemwin.
Hope you have fun.
Ben
I compiled a new test version of the Windows installer last night. I
fixed the bug where you could only install into the default directory,
but I had to do a cheesy hack to keep the double-clicking of .pd files
working. This version includes Miller's Pd 0.37.1 and the externals
collection from CVS. It does not include any libs, whether in the CVS
or not. I am working on adding those to the automated build system.
http://pure-data.iem.at/Members/hans/installers
Please test this and report any bugs or problems with the installer or
the package.
