Hi Yves,
well, now we have another problem with 'version nameclashes'... Searching through my sent mails I found that I released a 0.2 version of shoutcast~ on 24th of january this year. Your release, Yves, is based on very old shoutcast~ code. In the meantime I got a lot of feedback from people having trouble with crashes and also experienced this problems in my own projects involving shoutcast~. Thus I release version 0.3 (in july) which uses multithreading to avoid audio dropouts (beneath other improvements).
I think we should somehow label our code to point out that your shoutcast~ 0.2 is different from my shoutcast~ 0.2. Anyway, I would like to include your latest enhancement into shoutcast~ 0.3...
BTW, because of many many crashes and other problems with shoutamp~ I'm currently working on shoutamp~ 0.5. It will use a completely new buffer management. - Just to inform you and to a void another 'versionclash' ;-)
Olaf
PS: multiple encoders always worked in win

hi,
from the very start, there was a bug in mp3 encoding objects ( my linux versions, don't about win ) :
you could not have several encoders running at the same time because of some scope problems.
this has been fixed now with mp3write~ v0.2 and shoutcast~ v0.2.
this only concerns the linux objects available from my home page.
happy encoding,
