Call for music submission -------------------------
XIV CIM invites music submissions in the following categories:
1) Tape music (stereo or multichannel) Tapes for submission should be on DAT, audio CD or ADAT. 2) Multimedia works Videos for submission should be on VHS, DV, DVD or CD-ROM 3) Music scored for instrumentalists with tape/live electronics
Tapes for submission including the complete recording of the piece should be on DAT or audio CD, and should include both the instrumental and the electronic parts. Tapes for performance can include 2 to 8 musical tracks, recorded on any of these media: CD, DAT and ADAT. The full instrumental score should be provided with the submission. All performance materials, including special equipment for live electronics, will be provided by the applicant. The submission implies that the applicant is willing to participate in the CIM and to provide instrumental players, any special device and/or system required for performance.
General Remarks ---------------
Preference will be given to very recent pieces of short duration (less than 8 minutes). Please clearly label all submitted materials. Composers are invited to submit their music and the whole project for performance, i.e. a score and/or recorded segments. If the work requires individual performers, these should be provided by the composer. The submission implies that the applicant is willing to participate in the CIM and to provide any special device or system required for performance.
All submission should include the following:
* one page description of the submitted work * technical details that may help considering the submitted work for inclusion in the CIM musical program * short biographical note of the applicant

Deadlines ---------
After submission, works will be selected by the Musical Committee. Then the selected authors will be contacted in order to sent a brief note on their piece.
The deadlines are:
December 21, 2002: deadline for music submission February 15, 2003: selection of works and request of brief note March 22, 2003: deadline for notes submission
