Hi all,
here's a work in progress collection of the state of affairs in
RRADical Pd as I propose it.
http://footils.org/pkg/rradical-wip-040109.tgz
This includes a new and improved version of the pattern sequencer
rrad.pattseq and memento and lots of more abstractions for
reuseability enhancements in Pd.
Impressive Screenshot of a use case is here:
http://footils.org/images/rradical-wip.png
Extensive documentation is missing. :(
I'll regularily announce updates to my wip-collection here:
http://footils.org/cms/pydiddy/wiki/RradicalPd
Linux-audio-user is CC'd because maybe this is interesting to, well,
Linux audio users, too, I guess.
== What is RRADical Pd? ==
One goal of RRADicalPd? is to create a collection of patches, that
make Pd easier and faster to use for people who are more comfortable
with software like Reason or Reaktor. RRADical ships with patches,
that solve real-world problems on a higher level of abstraction than
the standard Pd objects do. All these high level abstractions
(should) come with (detachable and changable) GUIs built in and use a
common way of saving states. They also include a net remote control
using OSC.
RRAD as an acronym stands for "Reusable and Rapid Application/Audio
Development" with Pd.
The official home of RRADical Pd is:
http://pure-data.org/community/projects/rradical/
Have fun,

Hi all,
I've put out more bugfixes... source only so far.
The most recent change is to fix for the (again) incompatible
change in the Alsa API...
cheers

Hi list,
here's an external that has been lurking in the cvs for some time.
I've put out a first release as it seems to have become quite stable.
dyn~ provides functionality for dynamically creating patches, either message
or signal based.
There's a help patch with some simple examples included in the packages.
download as usual from:
http://www.parasitaere-kapazitaeten.net/ext
good gain,
Thomas
Hi all,
here's a new release of the python script objects.
All of the reported bugs have been fixed, and the MacOSX port seems to have
become quite stable.
New features include attribute functionality (you can get/set class
variables) as well as as querying the Python dictionaries. See the help
patches.
Don't forget: py is a library, so you need to load it with a command like
"pd -lib py -path scripts"
download as usual from:

best greetings,
Thomas

hi,
After having it running for a few days I think it's reasonably ok to
share with the rest of you, there is now an extern to talk to the
dmx4linux driver (-> http://llg.cubic.org/dmx4linux/ ) from pd. I
wrote it for an installation (the same reason I wrote the netreceive
patch), it's neither full featured nor especially well tested but it
could serve as a starting point to use dmx with pd running linux.
get it here -> http://test.pilot.fm/pd/externs/
more info on dmx can be found here -> http://www.euro-pa.be/dmx.html
special thanks to Michael Stickel, for writing the linux driver and
his kind support.
ah yes and there is an exceptionally boring screenshot, but since
it's there anyway -> http://test.pilot.fm/nolink/help_dmx_pd.png
regards,
x
