about the automata ::::::
Automata_Sonoro_v001 (generative sound machina) is a software
programmed in Pure Data for generating real-time sound compositions.
It creates compositions from 7 small sound seeds (samples of 5-15
seconds) with which it generates 7 files of 1 min, to be with those
who play after, transforming and mixing them iteratively in a
mechanical evolution, growth and deterioration. Its based on the
Fractal model and somehow with more conceptual distance also inspired
by the work of Alvin Lucier "I'm sitting in a room" 1969.
All of this does not chase to carry out strictly fractal music, but born of
an
interest to know and experiment with these math-concepts and
strategies looking for a king of organic unpredicatability, noncontrol
and chaos with which creatively play during the live perfomance.
salut!!

Hello,
next tuesday, 19th January, will be the third meeting of Pure Data users
in Berlin.
For more information, look up
http://puredata.info/community/organization/pd-berlin/pd-berlin-users-group.
We also encourage you to take an active part, and put up suggestions for
topics you want to talk about / topics you want to be talked about.
Doors are open from 20h-20h15. After that they'll be probably closed, and
you will have to call someone at NK to get in. To get a telephone number
to call or confirm assistance you can write to info_at_minitronics.net.
We would apreciate if you would send us a small mail to
info_at_minitronics.net with your name, Pd experience and interests, so
that we know how many people might be coming. Or put your name in the
pd-berlin wiki page.
We would like to thank the support and willingness of NK in the
organization of these events.

Pd-Taipei 是一群喜愛Puredata

Pd-Taipei is set up by a group of Pure Data users in Taipei, which aims to
host regular gatherings to create a fun place where people can share their
experience and trouble-shoot, just like Pd-Mtl in Montreal of Canada,
Pd-Berlin in Berlin of Germany, Pd-La in the California of the United States
etc.

Call for Projects 2012-2013: Musical Research Residency Program
Submission Deadline: October 14, 2011 (Midnight Paris Time)
Details and submission procedure:
http://www.ircam.fr/875.html?L=1
The third edition of Ircam's Musical Research Residency program is now
open for online submissions for the 2012-2013 school calendar. Ircam
(Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics and Music)
offers experimental environments where composers/artists strive to
expand their artistic experience at one end, and scientists aim at
extending research and technological paradigms for new artistic
expressions. Such interactive process is called Musical Research.
For its third edition, Ircam is inviting composers and artists to
submit projects for the 2011-2012 Musical Research Residency program.
The program is open to international artists, regardless of age or
nationality, who wish to carry experimental research using Ircam's
facilities and extensive research environment. Submission is online
only and each project will be evaluated by an international panel of
experts including researchers, composers, computer musicians and
artists. Upon nomination, each candidate will be granted a residency
at Ircam during a specific period (three to six months) and in
association with a team/project at Ircam. In addition, laureates
receive an equivalent of 1200 Euros per month to cover expenses in
France.

Appel à projet 2012-2013: Résidence de Recherche Musicale
Date limite de candidature: 14 Octobre 2011
Plus d'information et procédure de candidature:
http://www.ircam.fr/875.html

Hi All,
The first meeting of the Dublin Pd Patching Circle is taking place on October the 15th at 1pm at Moxie studios just off Baggot St.
For Directions see below:http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&rls=en&oe=UTF-8&q=google+ma…
You can sign up for this free event by contacting Andy at mcgovern_4(a)hotmail.com or by following this thread:
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=74617895
Just some information about the format for the first meeting. We are hoping that people attending will show what work they are currently doing in Pd and everyone can chip in with ideas of how to develop a patch or area of work. Then at the end of the session we can have a short brainstorming session looking for ideas that the Pd Dublin Patching Circle can work on as a team. For example I know other Patching Circles have worked together on developing Patches for the MS Kinect! This would be great if we could work together on developing Pd for the community on a whole.
All the Best,Andy

Hey all,
I have some recent recordings I would very much like to share:
HELOpg (Huddersfield Experimental Laptop Orchestra post-grad) recently
recorded 3 Text Scores of mine and they are here:
http://soundcloud.com/julianbrooks
Software is a combination of Pd and Puredyne (me), Max/MSP, Renoise and
ChucK. Plus mic's, sensors and stuff.
Here's a video of a piece for acoustic instrument and electronics which was
recorded with Pat Allison on clarinet.
http://vimeo.com/27899654
I'm aware that the documentation is a bit sketchy and the video is very
basic; it's the first technical run through but hopefully you get the gist.
All made in Pd and I'm happy to share the patch but it's well sketchy (patch
also includes an extensive list of thank you's to the various people who
helped me get this thing together.
Of course, I take all the credit for any errors.
All good wishes,
Julian
Hallo,
Hope that you have enjoyed a nice Summer, mine was studious working on
new musics and enjoying the quietness of a city deserted during August
holidays... I had the pleasure to help support 2 important causes so
if you feel generous those records can be ordered...
supporting OXFAM:
an international confederation of 15 organizations working together in
98 countries and with partners and allies around the world to find
lasting solutions to poverty and injustice.

as well as this one to help Japanese victims recover from the
catastrophe...

We're back from a 2 month hiatus, I am reemerging after the birth of
my son, Johann. He'll be patching soon enough! We will also be
joined by Ivan Franco from Portugal, who is starting to use Pd to make
mobile versions of his modular analog synths (libpd on iOS).
We have sessions booked for the next four months: this Thursday we'll
be back at General Assembly hosted by Lee Azzarello. Then the 4th
Tuesday of Oct 10/25, Nov 11/22, and Dec 12/20, we'll be at a new
space, 319 Scholes, in East Williamsburgh.

We spend enough time alone staring at our computers; we are proposing
to work together. So often issues that arise when working can be
solved with a quick two minute discussion that would take hours to
solve alone. We have Dorkbot to see people's work, we have Share where
anyone can play, we have workshops and universities to learn from.
This is a meeting where we all can come to work.
This is an informal gathering of patching and patchers (Pd, Max/MSP/
Jitter, and even vvvv, Eyesweb, Labview, etc.). Beginners and
Experienced welcome. Open to everyone, students, the public, etc. Work
on personal projects, professional projects, school projects, ask for
help, help others, or just patch quietly to yourself, in a room full of
other people patching patches and helping other people patch.
