Another option is to remove the translated .msg files from your Pd installation.

A third option, if you build Pd yourself, is to build without translations at all:
./configure --disable-locales
make

A fourth option is to have the GUI simply *not* load locale info. Comment out "load_locale" in pd-gui.tcl's main proc.
