Hi, Another question in a very general vein. I asked this on the Csound list a while back (when i was using csound) with good results. I'm trying to produce an acidy type sound (eg 303) and having trouble as my current saw-tooth-through-a-vcf just sounds pretty wimpy. Any ideas on how to fatten it up a bit? I'm not looking for a perfect reproduction of the 303 sound, just a nice acid sound. Hints? Tips? Is there some place where people post interesting Pd patches they've created for others to download at try out? Should there be? midi clock for pd on NT?

[announce] netsend / netreceive for Max <-> Pd communication

Hi MAXers and PDers, I have ported PureData's netsend and netreceive objects to Max to allow easy communication between these two programs (and some more) through a network (LAN or internet). The new Max objects are supposed to be 100% compatible with their Pd equivalents to make exchange of data (and patches) as easy as possible. They support TCP/IP and UDP as transport protocol and are available for OS X and OS 9 (but please note that the OS 9 versions do not work correctly in TCP mode). get them at: http://www.akustische-kunst.org/maxmsp/ happy networking, Olaf

philips 680 webcam and pdp

Thanks Ben, [shell] is actualy what i need, you can send messages to your shell, execute commands, scripts ... nice ! it has some scruple's thought, i am looking for the other way around : to send messages from shell to Pd . alpha test of new MacOS X Installer pkgs

I am now deep in the throws of creating a full automated MacOS X package builder. The last step I have to do is to automate the .pkg building of Pd itself. But I thought I would throw out this package that has lots of good stuff in it (pd-externals, cyclone, zexy, PDDP, tutorials, docs). I am looking to see if it works for other people. You can down the .dmg file and install it: http://www.pure-data.org/Members/hans/ Or can download it from the CVS, compile and install it. You'll need these packages: cvs co pd cvs co externals cvs co doc cvs co darwin-pkg Then you just: cd darwin-pkg make dmg and it should compile everything, make .pkgs, and put them in their own .dmg. This one is currently lacking pd itself, but once everything smoothed out, I'll release the full version. .hc

Irix PD (staticly linked now)

Hi Joerg (and PD list) It seems that the tcl/tk libs are hardcoded to be located at the directory specified when tcl/tk is compiled. Also it requires an absolute path to function correctly (I've tried relative path with no luck). The solution seems to be to create a staticly linked pd-gui. I have created such file and made a new package. Still I have great trouble testing this outside our domain but I think it is independant of other libs now. Also I have provided tcl/tk libs for static linking (.a files).
