MIDI specifications for Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE) in Pd

some new objects for MPE Midi is on Max's new update, just googled it to see what it was http://expressiveness.org/2015/04/24/midi-specifications-for-multidimension… wonder if you guys know anything about this and if anyone would be into bringing this to Pd. cheers

It's a bug. Pd should be able to handle unicode in this case. Hi Arnault, The [text] element does not work because the version of Pd that ships with PdDroidParty is currently out of date. William Brent's [convolve~ ] dekenized

Hey For those interested: I took the liberty to package William Brent's [convolve~ ] external and make it available through Deken. [convolve~ ] does real-time partitioned convolution where the partition size and thus the resulting delay can be set. http://williambrent.conflations.com/pages/research.html Roman P.S.: Didn't have the chance to test on macOS. Sensel Morph External

hello i am hoping that someone might have an external for the new Sensel Morph? Question about hid external and polling

Hi, I'm trying to retrieve infos from an Elan mutlitouchscreen using hid object in puredata (on linux). I succeeded in getting multitouch infos, but with some inconsistencies, so I wonder if I may loose some messages dueto incorrect polling value ? Is there a non polling mode giving all the incoming messages as they arrive ? Thanks so much. J.Y.G

help with oscillator modulation

hi, dear list ! here's one for all synth wizards ... in trying to understand sound synthesis a little better than i do, i'm attempting to clone a nice VST synth that i like a lot (POLYVOKS). it's a fairly simple synth and i understand and can recreate most of it's features and functions, safe for the following: POLYVOKS has 2 Oscillators. Osc 1 can be modulated by 2 different sources: 1.) a global LFO 2.) Oscillator 2 while point 1 is easy, i didn'zt succeed in finding out what's going on when OSC 1 is "modulated" by OSC 2. it doesn't sound like any of the classical modulation techniques (RM, FM, PM) but more like a combination/modification of the above that i'm not able to figure out. my guess is that the OSC2 get's itself "modulated" while it modulates OSC 1 (depending on the mod amount) please, if anybody might want to have a look at the following example patch. it includes the things i tried so far and a 4 second sample of the original (= the modulation effect recorded from the VST synth). http://klingt.org/fileservice/downloads/00693153753552230-mod_osc_210918.zip my testing setup was this: the synth got a note (C1) and both Oscillators had the same waveform (sine) and octave offset. then i raised the modulation (OSC2 -> OSC1) from min to max, over a course of 4 seconds. if anybody has an idea what's going on here, that would be a big help ! thanks a lot in advance oliver

metro 1000 is 3 times faster than a second

Dear list, how is it possible that measuring a metro 1000 with realtime object i get 333.3 as a result? I am testing it on an Ubuntu 18.04 and time just goes 3 times faster than it should. On a Mac OS the result for the same test is expectedly 1000ms. Please advice! Popesz
