MIDI specifications for Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE) in Pd

some new objects for MPE Midi is on Max's new update, just googled it to see what it was http://expressiveness.org/2015/04/24/midi-specifications-for-multidimension… wonder if you guys know anything about this and if anyone would be into bringing this to Pd. cheers

ugly font edges on non-black background

Dear list, I would like to use [text3d] texts on yellow background but the edge of the texts are so ugly that I am concerning to use prerendered images on alpha channel. Not even mentioning the inside part of the letters/numbers which are black anyway. Is there a way to achieve beautiful texts which are on transparent background? Tried with alpha with all the numeric possibilities alpha offers (on 16 pd crashes) but without any success. Please advice! Best, Popesz

"Could'nt create"...

Hi everybody, I’ve been away from pd for about a year and, in the meantime, switched from mac to pc. I just reeinstalled the latest version of vanilla for Windows and I’m trying to reopen my old patches. There’s a few objects that won’t pop up and I can’t identify the libraries I’m missing. I thought you guys could help me figure that out. The objects are : Knob, splitfilename, Folder_list. Thank you very much for your help. D.S

missing last letter in object names

Dear list, weird thing is happening with my GUI on ubuntu 16.04 pd 0.49.0 64 bit If I open pd from terminal, the last letter is missing in each object which has no arguments. Like loadbang is only loadban, pix_video is pix_vide and so on. If I open the patches running pd from its icon, or from the launcher, the GUI works fine. Is it a known issue? Best, Popesz

Installing libraries/externals via terminal or using -nogui

I am running Pure Data on a headless Raspberry Pi and I need a way to install libraries/externals. Is there a way to use Deken via the terminal? Or perhaps another way to install libraries via the terminal? I started with Pd-extended and switched to Vanilla after Deken was released, so I'm not too familiar with the process overall. status of leap motion controller in Pd, especially on Linux?

Hi, what is the current status of leap motion support for Pd? I saw Chikashi Miyama's external at https://github.com/chikashimiyama/Pd_leapmotion and a specific windows version apparently for leap motion V.2 https://github.com/chikashimiyama/Pd_Leapmotion_win Am I correct to assume that the latter uses some leapmotion SDK that the former doesn't use? What would furthermore be the best way to use the controller under linux in Pd? Thanks for all hints! P

Howdy, I'm bringing my old masters' and phd research back to life, getting the dust out of it and creating a brand new github repository for it. This was actually never made publicly available, I just kept it and shared with whoever asked for it. It's a bunch of psychoacoustic tools. Anyway, I'm cleaning it up, trying to document it and make it more presentable. I'm also expanding it and improving it, cause I've learned a thing or two over the years. One new thing I did was a sharpness~ model as a vanilla patch, and I wanted to compare with others out there to see if it's working well. Back in the day, I knew timbreID and Libxtract had those, but I can't find these to download anymore. I already opened issues in jamie's and william's repositories but I wonder if anyone here has these externals laying around (preferrably for mac) so I can test it. Or, if there are other sharpness externals I should know about? cheers

[PD-announce] Pulqui - an Audio Limiter for Pd.

Hi all, I want to share an special audio limiter that I've been using for years in my recordings. It's "special" because it *can't* be used live or with shorts delays. :( It's for use with already recorded material and a special side-chain file must be generated. For this I made an external. My first C thing. Prior to this external I used to generate the side-chain file on an [array] but I encounter the single precision limitation for files bigger than 16777216 samples.
