Hi, Another question in a very general vein. I asked this on the Csound list a while back (when i was using csound) with good results. I'm trying to produce an acidy type sound (eg 303) and having trouble as my current saw-tooth-through-a-vcf just sounds pretty wimpy. Any ideas on how to fatten it up a bit? I'm not looking for a perfect reproduction of the 303 sound, just a nice acid sound. Hints? Tips? Is there some place where people post interesting Pd patches they've created for others to download at try out? Should there be? midi clock for pd on NT?

[announce] netsend / netreceive for Max <-> Pd communication

Hi MAXers and PDers, I have ported PureData's netsend and netreceive objects to Max to allow easy communication between these two programs (and some more) through a network (LAN or internet). The new Max objects are supposed to be 100% compatible with their Pd equivalents to make exchange of data (and patches) as easy as possible. They support TCP/IP and UDP as transport protocol and are available for OS X and OS 9 (but please note that the OS 9 versions do not work correctly in TCP mode). get them at: http://www.akustische-kunst.org/maxmsp/ happy networking, Olaf

Web interface for PD patch

Hi everyone ! I need to control a simple PD patch via a webinterface. Since I know a little bit of Java I would like to use some kind of applet, but I don't know If this is possible ? What other methods / frameworks would work ? For this installation I only need oneway WEB -> PD, but it would be fun to know how to implement two way comunication also. I would be really happy if someone who has done stuff like this before could point me in the right direction or maybe provide a simple example. All the best / Martin Malm

joystick, granule

Hy PD users I'm new in the area, and I have 2 questions: it is possible to control any PD argument by a joystick plugged under soundcard midi port? The second question is if there are any granulation object in PD, like Csound granule, FOF or FOG, and with wich name... I couldn't find it in the current documentation. PD & Soundblaster Live - not detecting audio inputs

Hi, unfortunately I'm stuck with a soundblaster live s/card. Recently getting back into PD and was hoping to make use of the multiple inputs on the live drive. However, pd -listdev only brings up Line-in1 & standard stereo out. Does anyone know a solution to this or am I stuck with it till I get a better soundcard? PS OS:.... another problem

First of all thanks a lot for the "how to ..." links. Now I've got a great problem (maybe it's stupid but I'm not expert). I have to connect an external device to my pc and it has to control an abstraction realized with pd. This device will be connected to pc via serial port. Does exist an abstraction or an external, that could help me to send information throgh the serial port? Riccardo

ID project and other Pd projects and conventions

Anyone using Digidesign Interfaces?

Hi List, I'm just wondering if anyone out there has managed to get a Digidesign Digi001, 002 002R or Mbox to work with the asio driver for winxp available from Digi? I've tried -listdev with my 002r and only my laptop sound card appears. The asio drivers work well for Cubase and Reason and other more traditional asio style programs. I've had asio working before with an SBLive as well. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong, or if I need to move some dll or driver files to specific directories to get PD to recognise this driver? Hope someone can help... Cheers Sam
