Windows routing

Hi list! On Silicon Graphics computers you can record directly from pd to the little sound designer program, without problems. Is there a way in windows to create direct access from pd to say Pro Tools or Wavelab or a midisequenser? Should this be by creating several audio and MIDI inputs and outputs, and how would you do this? Greetings from Jørgen

Running Gem with Linux

I am trying to run gem with Red Hat linux but whenever I run the 'install.sh' file from the gem directory it says that it cannot create the directories, here what is displayed, [root@localhost gem]# ls GEM.LICENSE.TERMS GEM_INSTALL.sh GnuGPL.LICENSE examples GEM.README Gem.pd_irix5 doc help [root@localhost gem]# ./GEM_INSTALL.shInstalling GEM... mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_advanced': No such file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_basic': No suchfile or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_io': Nosuch file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_lighting':No such file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_particle':No such file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_pix': Nosuch file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem_texture':No such file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem.manual': Nosuch file or directory mkdir: cannot create directory `../doc/gem.reference':No such file or directory Copying examples...cp: copying multiple files, but last argument (../doc/gem_advanced) is not a directory Try `cp --help' for more information.....etc.. strange behaviour while closing dirty topcanvas

Hi again, has anybody noticed that answering yes to 'close anyway?' dialog does not force a window to go away immediately, but only after the next gui action? If my understanding is right -- i.e. that any message sent from the gui layer must end with a semicolon -- then in particular the string of callback arguments passed to pdtk_check should be ;-terminated (and semicolon does not need to be escaped). Thus the change in canvas_menuclose() (line 1531 of g_canvas.c) would be from {.x%x menuclose 1\\\n}\n", x); to {.x%x menuclose 1;\n}\n", x); Krzysztof

imagefiler???

Hi everyone!! I'm very interested in GEM. Does anyone use it? I would like to get information about this external. Any link would be very apreciated. Also I would like to know if you can build a virtual scene (like a 3d game for example) and import/make animated models, and if you have the same posibilities as OpenGL. max and pd intercommunication

I'm using the Max-objects pdnetsend and pdnetreceive (from ftp://fals.ch/pub/pdnets/). Seems to work fine from Pd to Max, but Pd crashes after about 400-500 received messages. I get: recv: Unknown error (10040). Any help? Other objects for Max to do the same thing? j.

hey list, how can i load both ggee & ext13.. at the moment either of it is possible, but not both. pd wont start. i have build the multiple externals of both latest versions, and added the path to a pd-0.33 - rc-file. best, g --
