pd crashes when hitting backspace/

the following error occured on a win98 se system using the latest pd release 0.30 *when i entered backspace, with the cursor in a object box (not a new created one- the bug always just appeared when renaming object boxes) the program always crashed when the old text has been erased and the box has been left empty...

had problems with the matrox marvel g200 on a win98 se operating system --pd always crashed when trying to run live-input videotexturing has anyone of this list experience with the matrox g200 marvel and pd/gem?

Hello, I'm writing an abstraction (included in this message), its purpose is to feed a quad output, I want also to be able, for example, if I have a single mono audio signal to feed all the 4 outputs, connetcing more times the same outlet. But if I feed, for example, the first inlet with an adc~ left outlet and then again, the second inlet with the same left adc~ outlet, I obtain the following warning/error (I used adc~ but it could be osc~ or anything else): Consistency Check failed: signal_free 2 I think this is a wrong behaviour. The patch doesn't work as it should, if you connect adc~ otlets to out4 inlets in this way, left->1, right->2, left->3, right->4 the audio output is strange, sometimes some channel is missing. Another problem: during patch editing I see the following warning appear: Consistency Check failed: editor Please help me... Or am I wrong ? Alessandro Fogar

more LinuxPPC/PD issues

Today I can not run PD-0.30 in any of the two different PowerMacs I use to. OS: LinuxPPC 1999 / LinuxPPC 2000. Both are networked to the same server. Error found: localhost not found (inet protocol not installed??) ... and no pd-window when Ctrl-c -> Pd: signal 2. 'wish' opens the window fine. Does it have something to do with my network? ftp, web etc works. Ricardo,

888 I/0 & Pd

Dear All: I got late Pd version running under RHat-LinunPPC 1999 on a Power Macintosh 9600/350, getting sound thorough the builtin card. Just wondering how could I make the digidesign 888 I/0 24 card also to work. Alsa/OSS do not seem to like it. Hi, Does anyone know the maximum number of stereo 16 bit soundfiles playing at the same time on conventional stereo Sound Blaster cards (AWE64) . Thanks Juan

i've never used max, but i did peek over the shoulder of a max user once, and nearly drooled over the ability to turn off the connecting lines, so as not to clutter the display during performance. would this be hard to do in pd? pix.

pd on alpha: gui oddity

hello, i am just playng around with pd on a dec alpha. the horizontal lines of the object boxes do not end at the right corner but go on until the right corner of the window, more or less like this: ___________________________________ | dac~ | |_________|_________________________ apart from this funny apperance everything works. i was trying the widget demo which comes with perl-tk no problems there... specs: alpha pc 164 (guenter i guess you remember that box :-) ) srm-console matrox millennium debian linux potato pd030 (comes with potato) kernel 2.2.15 tanx norbert
