MIDI specifications for Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE) in Pd

some new objects for MPE Midi is on Max's new update, just googled it to see what it was http://expressiveness.org/2015/04/24/midi-specifications-for-multidimension… wonder if you guys know anything about this and if anyone would be into bringing this to Pd. cheers

moocow string2any

Hello! I am trying to migrate a Pduino Patch from pd-extended to Pd-Vanilla and the only object that is missing is "moocow/string2any". (A weird thing is that on Linux I was able to find moocow in the external search from pd-vanilla, but on Windows I am not.) However, I wanted to ask if there is a possibiliy to substitude the function of "string2any" with a more common PD Operation or something I can still find in the externals. Big thanks! Marco

Sample loop - start and end point (WAV files)

Hi everybody, I know it had been a problem in the past to read out the loop information of wav samples. I have not followed any further development since years. Is there anything (like an external) that can read the loop points of .wav samples by now? If not has anybody been successful reading the header information with something like [mrpeach/binfile]? I know that loop points can be stored somwhere or somehow in the header. Unfortunately I cannot see from the Microsoft WAVE soundfile format where the loop points would be or find any information on it. http://soundfile.sapp.org/doc/WaveFormat/ Any ideas? Am I looking at the wrong file header type? Up until now I had been creating loops by copying the loop start and end point manually from the readings of SoundForge. However, I'm going to need a method soon that can read the loop points directly from the samples. Thanks! Ingo

quacktrip - jacktrip (low-latency audio) from behind home routers

To Pd list - This is very preliminary, but some of you might be interested in this. I've been working for the last month or two on making an easy-ti-use implementation of jacktrip to allow people stuck at home to play music together. A test version of this is available on msp.ucsd.edu/tools/quacktrip . The jacktrip implementation is based on the one in TPM by Roman Haefeli and Johannes Schuett (sorry for the no-diacritical spelling). It's been tried out by 4 or 5 people so far, seems to work with some hiccups. I'll be getting back to work on it after Pd 0.51-0 gets finalized. cheers Miller

pd~ binary for max/msp

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find the pd~ object compiled for max/MSP on OSX? I don't have any apple computer, nor max/MSP, but I have to work on a project that should run on this configuration. pd~ source code is made to be compiled for max, so I hope I can use it but can't find any binary online. thanks Cyrille

Gem 0.94 on Windows ? ...

Hi, dear List ! Is anybody here succesfully using Gem 0.94 on Windows ? I mean complete with image and video support ? Since Gem 0.94, i was not able to run any image or videos anymore (it used to work fine with 0.93) My setup is: PD 0.51 (64bit) / Gem 0.94 (64bit) / Windows 7 (64bit) In an attempt to monitor error messages according to IOhannes' suggestions, i think that the most important errors i get are those: GEM: load plugins 'film' in 'C:/Program Files/Pd/extra/Gem/' GEM: pattern : C:/Program Files/Pd/extra/Gem/gem_film*.dll GEM: dylib loading file 'C:/Program Files/Pd/extra/Gem/gem_filmAVI.dll'! GEM: GemDylib failed: #87: The parameter is incorrect. GEM: GemDylib throwing: DLLerror(0x57)The parameter is incorrect. GEM: library loading returned: DLLerror(0x57)The parameter is incorrect. GEM: dylib loading file 'C:/Program Files/Pd/extra/Gem/gem_filmDS.dll'! GEM: GemDylib failed: #87: The parameter is incorrect. GEM: GemDylib throwing: DLLerror(0x57)The parameter is incorrect. GEM: library loading returned: DLLerror(0x57)The parameter is incorrect. and so on ... Gem tries to load all .dll files from its directory and fails with "#87: The parameter is incorrect." and "DLLerror(0x57)The parameter is incorrect." Maybe it's my old Windows 7 that is not supported ? ... In LINUX/Debian 10 everything works fine ! (can't test OSX atm, sorry) Thanks for any suggestions or reports ! Best Oliver
