A fourth option is to have the GUI simply *not* load locale info. Comment out "load_locale" in pd-gui.tcl's main proc.

it's probably a dumb question and has hopefully been answered before, but i can't find the answer:
How do i get rid of the translated interface (menu items, etc.) in 0.48?
