I need a way to display several lines of text within a patch. For instance I would like to be able to display the content of a text object in the patch itself (as opposed to opening the text object, which opens a new window.)
Is anyone aware of a library that would have such an object, or know of some good abstraction?
For the time being I have made a solution that uses dynamic-patching to create comments, but it's not very elegant. I suspect there is a much better solution already.
Thanks!
You can use [text get] and feed the text you want to the label of a canvas. I'm not sure how to deal with white spaces though, I guess with the escape character "".
