ImageVert maps the fake luma (RGB/3) value to a glVertex. The brighter the pixel the higher the point. It looks like a spiked FFT plot with lots of color.
I can get it to work on OSX, but it is pretty crash prone (something about the object creation goes awry). I haven't gone over it much but it seems like it can be fixed up and optimized a great deal. What platform are you on? There are GEM developers for each that can help you with specifics.

me. , if it does work. me.
[imageVert] maps an image ([pix_]) to vertices. Thus things like "terrain-mapping" (color to height) can be acchieved.
It does work on my system, but output is ugly.
PD crashes when I try it.
hm. i started a rewrite of [imageVert] one week ago. Maybe this one will work.
Anyhow, you need a pix-source (like [pix_image]) in the gemlist before the [imageVert] to give it any input data.
