Hello,
on pd-55.1, macos Monterey, I'm exploring the new [file] object and see something in help patch that seem to let the windows manager selecting a directory by using the object [savepanel 1] for [file mkdir]. But obviously it doesn't do that because it doesn't call tk_chooseDirectory, like I use to do with hcs's [sys_gui].
So what this argument mean, it is not documented, and how would it help to select a directory with my window manager?
thanks for enlightenments

Hi,
by using the object [savepanel 1] for [file mkdir]
this is simply a mistake. It should be [openpanel 1] instead. (See openpanel-help.pd for an explanation of the creation argument.)

oh yes!
Thanks a lot for the answer, it's more elegant than using an external dependent script
