thanks for sharing these.
however due to loads of antivirus-software setup on various mailservers of people subscribed to this list, i now get a huge number of bounces since w32-executables/dlls will not be accepted. i suggest using one of the following:
bandwidth and usually will not be rejected by mailservers
people can download it. this will save even more bandwidth, as all linux/apple/solaris/dontknowwhat users probably don't want to have it anyhow.
a third option would obviously be to automatically store attachments at the list-server and add some links by the mailing-list software....(but that's work for me :-))

after a tiny bit of going googling and looking at the mailman configu, i found that this is actually very simple, and only requires me to enable it with a single click.
the attachments would be inlined at the end of the emails like the following:

but then i really think it is not such a bad idea to enable this feature. any other opinions?
Hm, would this mean that we would not get any attachements sent anymore, just links? That I wouldn't really like, as it make my personal list-archive depend on pd.info, which is not available everywhere I go.
Frank
sorry but i don't seem to understand is there anyone going to help me on this problem? thank you
Yes agreed, I like having a "local copy" of the archive for those special times when the internet is far away. And the idea of having to manually rename every attachment isn't very cool either!!!!!! I see lots of complaints on the horizon for that. Imagine having a complicated patch with several abstractions that must be sorted and properly named in order for it to work.
