Questions like these work best on the Pd-list, so I am CC'ing it.
Pd-extended is Miller's Pd plus tons of objects, documentation,
examples, etc. from ranging from video support, physical modelling,
serial port/HID device support, and lots and lots of other useful
things. Pd-extended also has a few patches to the core of Pd, but
basically, its the same at the core.

Hi Hans,
I am sorry to bother you. I use the original PD and only now started to understand that there are some alternatives available and I am a bit confused about this. This version you're announcing... besides
international characters, what are the differences to the original PD? And to Mathieu Bouchard's version? Thanks, Nuno

This is a big Windows release, and a bugfix release for GNU/Linux and Mac OS X.
What's new:
- The Windows release is now compiled with MinGW and has all
of the same patches to the core as the other two.
- Preliminary international character support. It seems to
work fine in comments, not yet in objects and messages.
