Hi list, I'm thinking about trying out the X-Keys matrix board with Pd:

should be a relatively simple thing to receive switch inputs in Pd, no? J. Sarlo's joystick object or the like? There are two options, Ps/2 or USB.

Why not just use [key], [keyup], etc? You could make an abstraction to
hide all of those objects, or use someone else's existing one.
On linux, you could use [linuxevent] for USB and ADB keyboards. I
don't think PS/2 mice and keyboards work with the Linux event system,
but if they do, then they'll work with [linuxevent].
