No worries.
For example, in one of the loadlib/Startup text fields, it says:
maxlib
Then delete that, and add this to one of the Path text fields:
"C:\Program Files\pd\extra\maxlib"
Do that for each one that you need.
FYI: I forgot, xsample is also a standard lib, so keep it in the
loadlib/Startup section if you want to use it. To load Gem and
xsample, you'll need to add this to one of the Path text fields:
"C:\Program Files\pd\extra"
(I am not sure about the quotes, try without if it doesn't work).

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean. What's "libdir"??? How do I
"add a path instead"? You have TOTALLY lost me!!! I'm sorry if I seem
stupid here...~David

Except for Gem, you need to turn those loadlib statements into path
statements. They are in libdir format, which currently is only
supported as a lib in Pd-extended. In Miller's Pd, you need to add
to the path instead..hc

Like IOhannes says, 0.39 is a _way_ big improvement for GOP, but
if you're on 0.38 (because hc's installer is awesome) you should
check out Frank Barknecht's "GOP done right":Or Chun Lee's pd-gop at: http://goto10.org/-/pdgop.html for a
deeper explanation. However if you have you read this and if you tried once how
immensely more useful GOP became in pd-0.39 you'll never want to look back.
Add to that the [list] object which was also new in 0.39 and I can only recommend to upgrade. And if you intend to use data structures,
that's a third argument for upgrading or at least installing pd-0.39 in parallel. At least you should not waste too much time in understanding how
GOP worked in Pd versions < 0.39, it totally changed for the better.Ciao
