Dear list,
can anyone confirm if the size argument works in the image-help.pd? I am trying to create an interface, where the image which is shown in GEM as well visible in the interface itself in a reduced size. Unfortunately, I have not managed yet the scale message to be working. The 'image' object is in Tcl/tk.
Thanks in advance for any hints:

afaik, tcl/tk only allows integer scaling. could that be the problem?

Iohannes, what does it mean for me? What should be the message then? Popesz

Iohannes, no difference, tried size 2 2 and size 4 4, the size the same. I have a file 200x200 gif and the size both way the same. I attach my test image just in case. Cheers: Popesz

since "0.1" is definitely not an integer, try something lke [size 2 2(.

as there are multiple [image] objects in the svn: which one are you referring to?

afaict (after looking at the code and verifying with the help-patch), the "size" message only changes the *active* rectangle (that allows you to select the object), rather than the image itself. so yes, i can confirm your observation.
i also did a quick check on the documentation [1] and toyed with the code, and find that indeed the best you can get with re-scaling is integer factors (e.g. triple width and half height; but not so easy to make a 800x600 image fit into a 720x540 canvas)
