Hello List, a long time ago, maybe 10 years, I do remember finding a couple of binural options as externals for PD, now with covid, I have been interested in this again, but to my surprise, I did not find much of anything. There are a couple of projects like ssr, or CW_binaural~ which either I do not find the links to download or I run into compilation errors.
any suggestions for me to check out?
cheers
Personally, I use the IEM plugin suite (https://plugins.iem.at/) with [vstplugin~]. They have a good binaural decoder.

Can't get IEM plugins to compile (very frustrating)... never could in fedora 31 or even in ubuntu, I think it was the VST2 sdk setup that always defeated me.

or even in ubuntu
there are debian packages, search for "iem-plugin-suite-vst". Don't know about fedora, though.

Perhaps you can make sense of the objects in the external library iem_bin_ambi (Deken) as well. It is a lib that pans ambisonics signals to virtual loudspeakers in a binaural space.
Perhaps you can make sense of the objects
help file is a bit cryptic, isn't it? will have a look to see what sense I can make out of it.
cheers

earplug~ is what I used 15yrs ago, perhaps its available via Deken for your OS, otherwise its sources should still be in the SVN repository.
Happy panning! P
