Does anybody know how to receive SYSTEM COMMON or SYSTEM REAL TIME messages?
The [midiin] object only outputs 0xF0 (sysex start), 0xF7 (sysex end) and 0xF6 (tune request). Anything else between 0xF0 and 0xFF is being ignored. [sysexin] doesn't do it either.
I really need 0xFA and 0xFC ( = start / stop ) as well as 0xFE ( = active sensing ) to communicate with the standard transport buttons, etc. on normal keyboards.
How would you sync to midi clock if 0xF8 ( = midi timing clock) is being ignored?
Does anybody know how to get this to work? Is there any other object that can receive raw midi?

Hello Ingo,
take a look at [midirealtimein], i can recieve 0xFA, 0xFC and 0xF8 with it, hopefully the others as well.

Thanx a lot, Andreas! [midirealtimein] is working perfectly!
I really can't understand why these things are not findable in the help files. Not even a search through the entire program folder of Pd (windows) searching for midi* came up with this object. Where is it? Is this somewhere hidden inside some other object?
