Hi, if I launch pd with the options "-jack -audiodev 1 -channels 8", pd make a connection betwen all its eight channels to the in/out of the audio card. I would want to find a way to launch pd without to connect some channel to jack in order then being able to make some connections in independent way with the utility jack_connect.
I am running 0.39-1,

You could try to use jack_disconnect the same way you want to use jack_connect. This way you can handle the connections completely flexible from outside of Pd.
