hooray!
Debian packages have been uploaded to Debian/unstable [1] (and should appear in the archives within the next few hours). packages for Debian/bookwowm-backports (aka "backports" [2]) and Ubuntu/20.04-24.04 (via launchpad [3]) will be made available within the next few days (after the packages have automatically migrated from Debian/unstable to Debian/testing, which should happen in about 3 days).
there are also Linux packages (already) available via flatpak [4].
i've also updated the release page on https://get.puredata.info/ to include the new release.

They are part of the flatpak package, and are available as separate installation options for Debian resp Ubuntu

due to the "pd quit" regression, it took slightly longer than expected.
in any case, as of today Pd-0.55.0 is available via Debian/backports and Ubuntu/ppa for the following OS releases:
David Runge also updated the arch packages [1] (thanks!)
