some new objects for MPE Midi is on Max's new update, just googled it to see what it was
http://expressiveness.org/2015/04/24/midi-specifications-for-multidimensiona...
wonder if you guys know anything about this and if anyone would be into bringing this to Pd.
cheers
Damn, that sucks!
Wish they would have asked me! Lots of things are missing. This probably breaks legato playing on multi channels and a multiple of 12 for the pitchbend range is a joke ... There needs to be an independend bending command for fine bending and coars bending. :-(
Still have to read it in full. So far I'm not excited.
It doesn't use any new midi status bytes so at least implementing it in Pd doesn't seem like any problem.

? :) what's going on?
Nothing really,
it's just that I have been working on stuff like that for the last couple of years and I'm not thrilled with what those guys are doing. Lots of things are missing or not working for a number of situations ...
Now I'll have to adapt my instrument to those new standards that I don't really like. :-(
I don't think too many pd people will worry at all because I don't think that many peaple are working with multi channel MIDI controllers like the ROLLI Seaboard or the LinnStrument, etc.

quotting a discussion from somewhere else:
"an MPE capable device is not a requirement to enjoy the versatility of MPE midi - same style of sound manipulation is equally at home sequencing vst~ and synths like Omnisphere, Kontakt etc"
Ha, I knew I had brought this up before, and it's funny it's been so long, I didn't think this has been on the back of my mind for over 7 years already :) damn...
