I cannot get audio into PD using OSX and portaudio v18. I just downloaded the new Pd 0.37 (with portaudio v18) and still cannot get audio in. I'm trying to use the Built-in audio device.
When I use -listdev at the command line, the built-in device is listed as device 1 and 2 (input and output respectively). When is type "pd" at the command line however, it uses device 0 for in and device 1 for output.
I get an error message when I type "pd -audioindev 1 -audiooutdev 2" at the command line. Error number -9997 occured opening portaudio stream Error message: Invalid device ID.
Anyone have any ideas? Mitch
