Hi list,
I'm trying to built an 8step sequencer and I'm using configuration with 2 [metro] objects. One to count the steps and another one (with a [metro]#1 interval x number of steps interval) to reset the steps number.
It works fine, but, when I set the steps to 1, istead of getting a 1 value to the counter, I get 2.
I attached the pd file just in case I didn't succeed in making you undestand.
Cheers.

Hi Tas Pas
after [t b f] you connect the b to 4 different inlets so it's rather difficult to understand where it goes first... second..
attached a slightly modified counter from Help/2.control.examples/06.more.counters.pd
cheers eni

If you look closely you will see that this one counts from 0-9 on the first round, then from 1-9 on the next rounds. Generally I prefer to count from 0 to maxstep-1, a "modulo counter" that is easily build with
[r $0-restart]
|
[f 0]/[+ 1]/[mod 8]
| |
| [s $0-restart]
|
counter output here
Attached is a little counting tutorial I once did.

Yeah, the system isn't synchronous so you have a "race" between the two metronomes. Try deriving the steps reset from the counter attached to only ONE metro.
