Have a look at PDP example12.pd. It allows to export a series of .png images to a directory. this could help you out in this situation i think.
[pdp_save_png_sequence] is the exact name of the object. Then perhaps
you could import the png images to "insert favorite video editor" and make a sequence out of them.

still, i wonder if i should remove that link to the debian packages, of course, it makes life easier for some people, but they are so old, they didn't catch up with the system libraries and now, they are all buggy ...
