hi all,
technically this is not really pd stuff, but i'm 'officially releasing' packet forth. it's not completely finished yet, but i've been postponing for ages and it's time to do some decent testing, so here it goes..
what is pf? it's pdp that's gone through some kind of metamorphosis.
long story: http://www.bek.no/pipermail/piksel/2004-August/001022.html http://zwizwa.fartit.com/pd/pdp/overview.html
short story:
pdp forked about a year ago for some forth integration, but this turned out to be a more turbulent process than expected. the 0.13.x release re-integrates the forked off-version (packet forth) with the stable 0.12.x pdp/pidip family.
everything should stay the same. patches that work under 0.12.x should work under 0.13.x. pidip should still be happy as ever running under pf. if this is not the case: please tell me.
there is only cvs distribution currently. see the above links for more information.
for the 3dp users: 3dp is now implemented in packet forth but currently broken. i will send a separate email when it's working again.
enjoy,
tom
