The first slider does not need a [t b f] because it is connected to the "HOT" inlet already. When it sends a number the first inlet, the [pack] gives outlet. The others use a "bang" message so that [pack] sends output with all the numbers it has stored in the "COLD" inlets already when the "bang" goes to the "HOT" inlet.
This is one of the most important concepts in Pd, so pay close attention to this!

But again...one slider is "dead"...this time it is the first one, which both outlets (b + f) of its [t b f] goes to inlet 1 of the pack. since as a hot inlet it receives the number and the bang.
For me it is unclear, why this slider does not work... It would be nice if you could take a look at the attached patch...
I am sure, the bug can be found somewhere in front of my computer's monitor.
