Hello list,
I installed pd .33 on my machine, and now have the multi-port support that I was looking for. Thanks!
I'm still having some troubles that I can't quite figure out. With audio disabled, the following occurs: the MIDI latency is quite good if I simply play my keyboard into pd. Even if I play very quickly, pd follows without a glitch. Trying to get MIDI from a sequencer into pd is another issue, however. If I output MIDI from Cakewalk into pd via a virtual MIDI port, or via a physical loop (out of the sequencer via midisport out A, looped directly back into midisport in B and into pd), the resultant MIDI stream is very glitchy. The MIDI seems to get into pd in very short bursts, with long pauses in between. The main pd window (the dos window I run pd from) scrolls down and repeatedly prints "flush". Changing the -sleepgrain amount doesn't seem to effect this behavior at all.
Sorry to keep bugging all of you with this. Any suggestions would be most helpful.
Thanks, Greg
