Can you help me on how to broadcast a message of a carriage return or
\0 through
a netserver? I need it so that my client receives the proper
broadcast message.

I can't think of a method for sending a carriage return or null within
Pd. But there might be other ways to deal with this. Why do you need
to send a \n or \0 in particular? Is the client a Pd patch also or
something else?

I have not tested this but you could try:
Looking up the ASCII code for the CR, lets prepend its 66.
[66< | [ascii2any] | [netclient]
?
Or you could do the netclient stuff in python and then make it work however you would like.

Btw ASCII for a newline is:
10 on UNIX/Linux/etc 13 10 on DOS/Windows 13 on MacOS Classic
and on OSX it depends on which program you are using: some are like MacOS Classic, some are like UNIX.
