weird.
i just downloaded and installed 0.38.4 RC6 , and i thought "yeah, you can open help menus now without having a blank patch opened"
but then i put org.puredata.pd.plist in my library/preferences and this function stopped.
so i guess that's where the bug is.

Yeah, I noticed that the menus worked, but not the org.puredata.pd.plist bringing it back. Thanks for the tip, maybe that'll lead to a fix.

one other bug i just picked up... (in 0.38.4 RC5)
ctrl clicking on the [list] object brings up the help file for [bang]
Hallo, hard off hat gesagt: // hard off wrote:
well something shows up, with one inlet and two outlets.
Maybe a [bang++]? ;) Indeed this is strange. The real [list] object has one in- and two outlets normally. In all its glory it was introduced in pd-0.39-test-whatever AFAIR. It is now used in my patches probably almost often as [f] and [t] and is very use- and powerful.

no, a real [list] object does show up....not sure if it works or not, cos as i said, clicking on it for help leads me to the [bang] documentation////
i think it might be there cos hans compiles these things from the cvs...so even though the pd engine is 0.38, there are other newer objects included simply because they are in the cvs too.
oops, just checked again. not sure if i was seeing double before, but now there is only one outlet...
and it behaves exactly as a bang.
just a funny little glitch in the os X installer i think. nothing to worry about.

no, an object named list has been there for ages. afaik, it did never provide any "real" functionality (until 0.39 of course) the existance of this object, is the reason, why zexy's list has been clumsily called [lister].
