Hey All
I'm interested in the possibility of starting a PD workshop/patching circle in Manchester (england). There's a few things I'd like to check, tho.
1: Is anyone interested in becoming part of a peer-to-peer learning PD group in Manchester?
2: Does anyone know of a similar project happening nearby?
Also any advice on the format of these workshops/meetings would be welcome.
Thanks and God Bless
Andrew

Hi Andy,
we have done one "pd-geek" meeting in London in the first decade of this year, went quite well, but it's a shame we still couldn't make together again.. i know London is not exactly near by ..but sort of, not too far away. also we got openlab ( "a postcode gang of arty hackers", i'm joking ..) but yeah, probably a good idea for you is to check out the openlab mailing list ;)
i remeber there was a workshop do in midlands this somer (was it ether Worcestershire or Winchester ..somewhere there basically). i imagine one in Manchester could quite a good idea! but there must be some people doing something already! you never know, local hackers are hard to find sometimes ..and them "oops, there actually quite a few!" //
so yeah, subscribe to openlab list ..not too sure what the exact address was, just google it up.
