Hi guys was wondering if anyone knows how to select different webcams in PD .. everytime I start my patch it defaults to the built-in iSight in my Mac .. but I have a Logitech USB camera connected also and this is the one I want to use with my patch .. I tried sending the [driver 0] message to the Gemwin object and changing this number to see if it would change the video stream but am having no luck with this .. am I missing some other message or object to get this to work ...
Regards
Dave.
device $1 message to pix_video should change the source or you can use 'dialog' to bring up the standard Quicktime capture panel. Each device manufacturer presents their sources slightly different so the dialog might be the only way to select the device and input to use.
