PD always give me errors about the number of channels..... .....seems that the device number is referred to NON Portaudio devices and the input part and the output part have 2 different device number in the list when i type -listdev....

Hello Lalo,
PD recognizes the devices in your system as an array of devices. To
view
those devices use:
C:\pd\bin\pd.exe -verbose -pa
Then, when you've determined the index of your 'Terratec' in that array
of
devices, use:
C:\pd\bin\pd.exe -pa -audiodev [number] Like C:\pd\bin\pd.exe -pa -audiodev 0 Or C:\pd\bin\pd.exe -pa -audiodev 1
If this doesn't do the trick then study this page: http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/Pd_documentation/x3.htm#s4

Anyone knows how to choose a particular device? I have 2 soundcards (SBlive! and Terratec EWX) on the same computer
(WinXP
Pro) but if i start pd with the -pa flag , the default is SBlive!....how
to
choose my other Terratec? (it has a very low latency asio driver
support)
thanx
