Hi,
I added a little wiki page for Tips and Tricks around Pd.
http://puredata.info/docs/tutorials/TipsAndTicks
So far only one trick (replacing objects with Perl) was added, but feel free to add more of mom's little helpers.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a tick is a kind bloodsucking arachnid.

Thanks, fixed. Content has moved to: http://puredata.info/docs/tutorials/TipsAndTricks
(Seems I'm not allowed to delete the old page, maybe some superhero could crash it?)

did "rename wiki" not work or did you just make a new page and copied the content over? anyhow i fixed it.
the other question is, whether tutorial like things like the "bpm to metro message" example is not an overkill for a tips'n'tricks page (it is neither a tip nor a trick, not even a tick)

Well, maybe I got carried aways. Actually the tips were two at first, one for [inv], the other for bpm and metro, but both are related so it grew into one longer trick. I think, it's still a bit too small for being called a tutorial, though.
I guess, we can also reorganize stuff a bit at any time: it's a wiki, where this process is common anyway.

Ciao
I would like to see in that page a complete reference to messages related to:
(e.g.: width, height, vis, open, menuclose... they are so many, however are not included in pd documentation)
also some datastruct tricks are very helpful
cheers
