hi is there a way to get the mouse position and button down/ups in pd? like key/keyname. it should be the relative position inside the activated patch-window, but i dont want to use grid or gem. sme.
i wanted this too, but relative to the whole screen... and when we're at it, it seems (atleast on win32) that program thats "highlighted" has the mouse... so when wanted to convert mouse to midi with pd and then to use it on another prog (on same machine) is not possible... was also thinking on using 2mices, 1 for normal use and 1 for PD exclusiv, but i doubt this is possible :(

you could write a little tcl script to track the mouse position and send it to pd via socket...
but because of that window focus issue you would have to make your tcl window the size of the area you would like to track.
should be simple.

Palladium (like chemists, Microsoft calls it "Pd" for short) is Microsoft's implementation of the TCPA spec, sort of. ("Sort of" depends on who you ask. Some say it's related. Some say they do similar things, but are unrelated. Some say that Pd is, in fact, Microsoft's attempt to preempt the TCPA spec.) TCPA is the Trusted Computing Platform Alliance,
Anyone heard of this? Is there any kind of copyright on the Pd name?
