Hi list, after finishing some projects I would like to update my current linux to uptodate alsa, jack, pd, ardour etc. how useful is it to update from the 2.4.-kernel-series to 2.6? Thanks, Michael
Does anyone have anything good to ay about this card, and how are M-Audio in general, in terms of drivers and support? Plus does anyone know if this cards run with Linux?
Cheers, Rory.

I have the same question: I bought the M-Audio FireWire410 and I'm very happy with it in windowsXP (especially I get a real short latency). Now I tried to use it with linux, but M-Audio said that they have no driver for it, but they are planning to make one. Has anyone some experiences with this card and Linux?
Thanks, LG Georg

Please get in touch witht the alsa-devel list.
Until now no one has had a firewire device to test with so no code has been written to support it.
The developers know how to do it though.
