hi Mathieu,
What are the features that you absolutely need in a nonlinear video editor?
clips can be loaded and represented as a coloured bar onscreen (maybe a different colour for each clip, or the filename of the clip written on the bar)
the position of the clip on another box (like a timeline) determines when it starts
graphical setting of in and out points for each shot (traditionally done by dragging the ends of the little bar to resize, or cutting it with a razor tool)
video is rendered to a file at the press of a button
(frame numbers of each shot are read from an array and the edited video is compiled)
i suppose a way to save "project" files would also be useful, the start positions of each clip in the timeline array and the start and end points for that clip, basically the contents of the arrays i guess, maybe written as a list
all the best
adam
