Hi all, I m trying to get [rrad.pattseq] to work, it does move when it gets a clock input but there are no number at its outputs. The only error I get when I start it is:
error: unpack: type mismatch error: unpack: type mismatch
in _slider-commun.pd using find
any ideas?
thanks ant*

This error is harmless, I also get this all the time. Did you turn up the "volume" slider on the left, and also input some values in the main sliders and radio buttons?

Yes they are all up. I dont what is wrong, I ll keep on trying. I also just realised that I can't save and load snapshots(?) with [caregui]. I need to check a bit more the examples I guess. thanks again

You can also try some other, more simple patches, like rrad.fm2~. The main patch to check would be the new memento-help.pd help patch from CVS. I can send it to you or the list, in case you don't have access to CVS. Everything in there should work as described, otherwise all RRADical patches won't work and we'd need to check, what is failing.

Ciao
Ok, I try memento-help.pd.
I change values in [pd OSC-originator] and I can see them in [pd commun-help]. everithing fine.
I get to [careGUI] open a new file with FILE and then SAVE. I get no messages,
neither error nor confirmation. I change again some values in
[pd OSC-originator] and [pd commun-help] amd then press RESTORE. Nothing
happens, silence and the values don't change. Also the print bang in caregui
is supposed to do something? It just prints a blank line here.
I have permitions to rw in the directory I am saving and the file is created.
thanks again for your help. really appreciated

Yes, "print" should print the contents of the internal pool object to the console.
Can you try this: open memento-help.pd, open [pd commun-help] subpatch, move some numbers there, then press RESTORE in careGUI, then "print" in careGUI. Do you get something like this in the console?
/name 0 , /alist , 30 0 /name 0 , /something , 46

Okay, then something very basic isn't working. Most important question: What version of [pool] do you have? You need at least 0.2.0pre-something, which understands the "mkchdir" message.
Could you post a complete copy of the Pd console messages, when you do the test I described?

Where is this "done" stuff coming from???
Jamie Tittle II had the same problem. He wrote to me:
"...think I finally figured out something important: apparently I had an old prepend in one of my paths...removing that, I definitely don't get the "done done" stuff, and very little seems to get written to console (comparatively)..."
Unfortunatly I have no idea, what exactly is causing that "done" message stuff, but that's your cause of error. For memento you only need [pool] and Cyclone. Try to remove all lib loading and paths from .pdrc until you get Memento working, then by adding paths again, look for where it's failing.
