when i start up pd like this:
pd -lib multi_source_convolution~.pd_linux
it says it's not able to load the library, but then when i create
an object of it, it successfully creates it with the inlets/outlets, but it's an older version of the external, i think. anybody know what's going on?

Scott,
It sounds like you got the old version flying around somwhere in the PD path, perhaps in the "extra" directory. Externals placed there are automaticly loaded at run-time.
